History of the American Healthcare System
If you want to have a good understanding of the American Healthcare system, you have to listen to this podcast from “This American Life.” There is so much debate going on right now about our system, but I think it is important to understand how we got to where we are with our system.
This answered many questions I had such as: Why does our employer pick our health insurance options? When did private health insurance start in America? Is Blue Cross Blue Shield funded by the government? and why is there a different one for each state?
